2007 IMPORTANT TAX DATES

  • January 11- First day for "E-File" Electronic Filing of Income Tax Returns for 2007.
  • January 15- Due date for the fourth installment of 2007 estimated tax.
  • January 31 - W-2's are due from employers. Forms 1099 are due from payers of dividends, interest and other types of income.
  • February 28 - Payers must file information returns (such as 1099s) with the IRS.
  • February 28 - Employers must send W-2 copies to the Social Security Administration.
  • March 15 - 2007 Calendar-Year Corporation Income tax returns are due.
  • April 15 - Due date for 2007 Individual, Partnership and Annual Gift tax returns.
  • April 15 - Deadline for making 2007 IRA contributions.
  • April 15 - First installment of 2008 individual estimated tax is due.
  • June 15 - Second installment of 2008 individual estimated tax is due.
  • September 15 - Third installment of 2008 individual estimated tax is due.
  • October 15 - Deadline for filing 2007 individual tax returns which were extended beyond the April 15 deadline.
  • December 31 - Date state estimated taxes should be paid rather than waiting for the January 15 deadline. This will allow the state taxes to be deducted on the Schedule A in the year they were paid.
